Monday Music is not a choir but a singing group who make beautiful music together. Anyone can join and there is no need to be able to read music. We use lyric sheets for the songs, and no other musical knowledge is required. For more info:

Lucy teaches music and directs the Jubilaté Choirs in rural Canterbury, Kent. She has collaborated with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Glyndebourne Chorus and has taught music at Simon Langton Grammar School for Boys since 2014. Lucy became the first female Musical Director of Folkestone Choral Society in 2023 and has since conducted many major works including Messiah, Faure Requiem, Jenkins The Armed Man, Haydn Creation, Mendelssohn Elijah, Bach Magnificat and Haydn Nelson Mass.
Lucy began her teaching career at Stagecoach Theatre Arts and over the years she has helped her students and choirs to prepare for performances in a variety of locations such as The Royal Albert Hall, Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Disney Land Paris, The O2 Arena, Canterbury Cathedral, The Colyer Fergusson Hall and the Leas Cliff Hall, Folkestone.
Having taught at Wickhambreaux Primary School for over ten years, Lucy established The Langton Music Centre in 2018 and won a National Teacher’s Award Certificate for the work she did online, during the Covid 19 Pandemic. She directs the Langton Music choir festival each December and in 2019, she became the Musical Director of the Christmas Eve Carols in Canterbury city centre.
Lucy has a lust for life, music, family and friendship. She is well known for her positive and fun approach to teaching and rehearsing. She aims to get the best out of her students by taking the music incredibly seriously whilst always looking on the bright side of life!
